Contract on G2G supplies of Russian milling wheat to Bangladesh signed
The contract between the JSC “Foreign Economic Corporation “Prodintorg” and the Directorate General of Food of the Ministry of Food of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on G2G supplies of 200 metric tons of the Russian milling wheat to Bangladesh in the first quarter of 2017 was signed in Dhaka on December 14, 2016.
This step is highly praised by the two sides. Excellent wheat crop in Russia in 2015-2016 and world price reduction on this product now played into hand of the Russian wheat producers and suppliers. Our Bangladeshi partners note the traditionally high quality of grain from Russia in particular and this factor together with the prospective of increase of Russian milling wheat supplies of up to one million metric tons to Bangladesh on G2G basis would help this country to strengthen its food security.
The Contract was signed by Mr. Mikhail Potapov, the General Director of the “Prodintorg”, and Mr. Badrul Hassan, the Director General of the Directorate General of Food in the presence of the Russian Embassy and “Aston” group of companies’ representatives.
