The visit of the Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics Mrs. Margarita Mamun to Dhaka

From 24 to 27 October this year a Russian gymnast of the Bangladeshi descent, Olympic champion of Rio 2016, multiple winner of the world and the European championships Mrs. Margarita Mamun in Dhaka was in Dhaka. On October 26 this year she took part as a goodwill ambassador in the grand opening of the Bangabandhu 5th Central South Asian Artistic Gymnastics, timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the birth of the first national leader of Bangladesh H.E. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The participants of the competition had the opportunity to receive a workshop in rhythmic gymnastics from Mrs. Margarita Mamun.
On the eve of the ceremony, a reception was held in her honor, organized by the President of Bangladesh Gymnastics Federation Mr. S.K. Bashir Ahmed Mamun, visited by H.E. Ambassador Alexander Mantytskiy, Military Attaché and diplomats of the Embassy. In their welcoming speeches, H.E. State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Md. Shahriar Alam and Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Mr. Atiqul Islam, who were present at the event, expressed their hope for the development of the Russian-Bangladeshi humanitarian cooperation, in particular, in the field of sports.
