National Unity Day celebrated at the Russian Embassy in Bangladesh

On November 4, 2023, the Russian Embassy in Bangladesh hosted a reception on the occasion of the National Unity Day. The event program included a performance by the Krasnoyarsk State Academic Dance Ensemble of Siberia named after Mikhail Godenko, organized by the National Group company. The artists performed their repertoire’s best dances: "Lilac and birch have blossomed", "Fishing", "Dance with spoons and birch bark", "On the bench" and others. The audience also watched a video clip with the sights of Siberia.
Mr Sattar Mia, President of the Russian Friendship Society with Bangladesh and Chairman of the National Group, delivered an opening speech and briefed about the organization's initiatives, including installation of a monument to the founder of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Moscow and opening of the educational campus of Synergy University in Dhaka.
In his speech, H.E. Mr Alexander Mantytsky, Ambassador of Russia to Bangladesh, told about the history of the holiday that symbolizes solidarity, harmony and patriotism of the multinational and multiconfessional Russian people.
Representatives of local socio-political and military circles, business community, media and diplomatic corps were among the guests. The event was covered by several TV channels and newspapers and was well received by the audience that highly appreciated the artists’ professional skills.
