Born in 1955.

Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR in 1984. Speaks Hindi and English.

Diplomatic career since 1984:

1984-1989 – the Embassy of the USSR in Nepal.

1991-1996 – the Consulate General of Russia in Karachi, Pakistan.

1998-2002 – the Embassy of Russia in India.

2005-2010 – Consul General of Russia in Mumbai, India.

2014-2020 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

On May 19, 2021 appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Has the diplomatic rank of the 1st Class Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

Married. Has two adult sons.
